Our guest speaker this month will be Andy Smith, former VP of Corporate Marketing at Dolby Laboratories and co-author of the new book, "The Dragonfly Effect: Quick, Effective and Powerful Ways to use Social Media to Drive Social Change."

We're meeting at 8:30 a.m. in the community room at the Buttercup Grill and Bar on Ygnacio Valley Road in Walnut Creek. It's not too far from the Ygnacio offramp of the 680, just pat the 680-24 interchange. The menu will be the same as it has been at the Oakland Buttercup -- scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, toast and coffee or tea.

Meeting people who share your interest in social media is the highlight of any of these breakfasts. In addition to a speaker, we'll also hear from Bill Flitter, is the CEO of Pheedo and serial entrepreneur with years of experience in online advertising and social content marketing. 

With the founding of Pheedo, Bill pioneered advertising to RSS along with other content routing technologies that has generated revenue for The New York Times, CNET, Inc. and other large premium publishers while helping Fortune 500 marketers reach new audiences. 

Bill's newest venture, Dlvr.it, helps bloggers, brands and publishers syndicate their content and broaden their reach across the social web. 

He is also the creator and leader of the Bay Area Real-time Web Meetup, a montly event that fosters conversation around real-time technology and strategy.
